The information provided by Jonathan Lawrence Steinbach regarding max. daily withdrawal at Vio Bank appears to have changed since his posting on 9/23/2018. The Vio Bank website FAQ section has the following.
What are your limits on transfers?
After account opening, we currently have a $5,000 daily limit and a $20,000 monthly limit on all external funds transfers initiated by Vio Bank through our online banking platform. Vio Bank does not limit the amount of incoming and outgoing ACH Transfers initiated by a third party transfer service or another financial institution. Vio Bank also allows customers to deposit into their account via check by mail, deposit a check with mobile deposit, or an incoming wire.
Steve says
Still limit of $20,000 month so if you have more this is NOT the place to go. It is NOT liquid. For .10% less there arev many other banks. I’ve been really happy with My SavingsDirect.com (part of Emigrant). I go in and out to pay my monthly bills.
Lynn Wharran says
Doesn’t sound like your bank is well liked. Im considering not continuing to deposit into this account as I cant even get into see what I already have…. you’re making this too difficult and I don’t like that. If its my money I want to be able to get to it when I need it…. doesn’t sound like that’s possible with you.
Steve says
As of today Vio is holding $40,000 of my money hostage and I have to pay $30 to w/d it.
I was able to put $60,000 into the account and thought I’d make more $. Then I realized that I could only link ONE checking account. I used TD. TD has a policy of only using an ACH transfer up to $10,000/month. So I called VIO and they confirmed my only choice (they will not send you a check) is to WIRE IT to TD. That will cost $15. at TD (in) and $18.00 at Vio OUT).
Also, if you request a wire – you must have form notarized and then wait 72 hours.
The agreement mentions bill pay option but that is only for checking accounts – and (guess what?) Vio doesn’t offer checking accounts!
As someone pointed out, My Savings Direct has a higher rate and no restrictions on SIZE of Deposits OR withdrawals. Just the 6 ACHs a month W/d which is fed rules.
Jonathan Lawrence Steinbach says
I called them and they said there is a soft credit inquiry. $10,000 max withdrawal daily, $20,000 max withdrawal monthly, if initiated through VIO. If initiated transfer is from another institution requesting from VIO, no limitations apply.

Thank you Jonathan!
