Introductory APR Promotion
The Wells Fargo Platinum Visa comes with an 18-month 0% APR introductory offer on purchases and balance transfers. Keep in mind that the balance transfer rate only applies to transfers made within 120 days of account opening.
Once the introductory period ends the usual variable regular APR applies and it depends on y our creditworthiness and the prevailing rates.
Cell Phone Protection
Get reimbursed for cell phone damage or theft. To qualify, you must pay your cell phone bill in full with your Wells Fargo Platinum Visa card. The benefit is subject to a $25 deductible per claim, a $600 per occurrence limit, and a 2-claim-per-year limit. This benefit doesn’t cover lost phones, only stolen (with an accompanying police report) or damaged while remaining in the owner’s possession.
Overdraft Protection
If you have an existing checking account with Wells Fargo, you are able to link your Platinum Visa Credit Card account with their overdraft protection service. At times, when you are making a transaction on your checking account it results in an overdraft, when that happens the overdraft protection will cover the difference by drawing a cash advance on your Platinum card’s available credit line.
Do note that this service is subjected to a $12.50 fee for transfers less than $50 and a $20 fee for transfers greater than $50. Advances also accrue interest at the regular cash advance rate that depends on creditworthiness and prevailing rates.
My Money App
If you didn’t already know, Wells Fargo has a feature suit called “My Money Map” and it allows you to track your spending as well as set budget goals and develop a savings plan across your entire Well Fargo footprint. That also includes your credit and deposit accounts.
Plus it also includes a useful resource library with credit and personal finance education tools. You can find solutions and tools that you might need to plan your financial future.
Other Wells Fargo Platinum Cardholder Benefits

If you’re nearing the end of the 0% APR for you existing card, your current loans/debt is taking too much out of your pocket, or whatever the case may be, definitely consider this card to alleviate the high rates and enjoy 0% APR for 18 months (a great variable rate applies afterwards).
