Atom’s most unique feature is Sandbox. Sandbox allows you to customize assumptions and figure a target price for stocks. This feature takes your inputs and recalculates fundamentals such as price-to-earning ratios. With the calculates information, you can model a fair value for a stock’s share price and compare your own analysis with what an expert would predict.

To make things even more detailed, there is also the option to edit detailed fundamentals, including revenue, year-over-year growth percentage and tax rate. The models that you create can be named and saved, making it even easier for you to adjust expectations as you get more data.

Atom Finance uses the markets sectors and stocks that you follow to automatically curate a news feed for you. With the use of the “X-ray” feature you can search for keywords and company mentions across different new articles to narrow down your readings.

These features are used to provide you stories from Reuters and Atom Finance’s press teams. Unfortunately, this news feed does not include some of the larger names in the stock world such as Bloomberg and MarketWatch. Nonetheless, this is a good source of information on your stocks and makes getting informed a little easier for you.

Atom Finance lets you compare two or more companies. The results cover a variety of fundamental metrics – price-to-earnings ratio, revenue growth, EBITDA and more – in table form. Although a great feature in theory, the process is lacking. You have to enter tickers manually, so this tool only works if you already know which companies you want to compare. We’d also like to compare companies based on the Sandbox models we created, but that’s not possible. At least not yet.

Connect to a brokerage account and get receive the capacity to a portfolio tracker. This allows you to track all of your investments in one place, making it easier for you to see their progression. You cannot manually enter transactions or create a simulated portfolio.

Atom Finance allows for you collaborate and share you insight with other investors. Through the use of group chats, conference calls, and discussion boards you’ll be given access to a community of investors similar to yourself.
