Chase Sapphire Preferred is a travel and dining card. You can earn double Ultimate Rewards points with Uber, parking meters, public transit, coffee shops and food trucks.
2. Sign-Up Bonus Worth At Least $750, But We Value It At $1200
Currently new Chase Sapphire Preferred cardmember can earn 60,000 bonus points when you spend at least $4,000 on purchases in your first three months. You can redeem your points directly through the Ultimate Rewards portal, you’ll get a minimum value of $750 (each point is worth $0.0125).
The best way to maximize your point value is to transfer them to one of Chase’s airline or hotel partners. This includes Southwest, United, Hyatt, British Airways and many more. When transferred, Ultimate Rewards points are valued at $0.02 each, making the bonus worth $1,200.
3. You Can Add Authorized Users For Free
It costs you nothing to add authorized users to your account. This is a great way to meet the bonus spending requirement by teaming up with your significant other, or to jumpstart your kid’s credit history.
4. It Makes Your Other Chase Cards More Rewarding

9. It’s A Fancy Metal Card
Generally we never recommend applying for a card based on how it looks, but the Chase Sapphire Preferred metal blue design is definitely easy on the eyes. Generally other metal cards on the market usually come with annual fees way above $100. Mid-tier cards, like CSP, are generally made of plastic.
