Update 3/24/25: Offer is back but the the Debit and Credit card earns $50 in Target Circle Rewards and the Reloadable Card earns $50 credit after $50 purchase. 5% Cashback Categories

The Target REDcard offers Target shoppers 5% “cashback” (in other words, a 5% instant discount) on every purchase made in-store or online at Target.com. The card is only intended for use in Target stores and the 5% discount only applies to stores or items bought from Target.com.

$50 Off $50 Purchase Coupon

New applicants can get $50 off a future qualifying purchase over $50 when approved for a credit, debit or reloadable Target REDcard.

Terms:

• Get $50 in Target Circle Rewards when you spend $50 or more on qualifying purchases
  • Get $50 in Target Circle Rewards when you spend $50 or more on qualifying purchases in-store or at Target.com with your Target Circle Debit or Credit card within 60 days of approval. Terms apply to Target Circle Rewards. This offer does not apply to mail in applications. The offer will be added to your Target Circle account within 24 hours of approval. Target Circle Rewards will expire after one year if you have not earned or redeemed any Target Circle Rewards for one year. Qualifying purchases exclude alcohol, Target GiftCards, Visa, American Express and Mastercard gift cards/prepaid cards, CVS pharmacy, clinic, and Target Optical. (Purchases made with virtual temporary card do not qualify.) Statement credit will be posted to the account within 30 days of the $50 transaction. The $50 transaction must occur in one transaction at a Target location or at target.com; if you get cash back at the register during your purchase, the transaction will not qualify for this promotion. Author’s Verdict

Definitely consider the Target REDcard if you’re a constant shopper at Target. Matter of fact, regardless if you’re a frequently shopper at Target or just the occasional, it’s always great to have this card for a 5% discount on just about any purchase.

I personally shop at Target and use my REDcard on each visit to maximize my savings. Stack this 5% savings on top of the coupons and promotions being offered in the store and you’ll be surprised of how much you’re saving over the course of the card’s usage.
