With the PenFed Platinum Rewards Visa Signature Card, it will serve you well if you spend regularly on gas and groceries. And unlike the PenFed Platinum Rewards Standard Card, you will be able to earn 1 point for all your other purchases that aren’t gas or supermarket related. This allows you to earn points no matter what the purchases are.
To be considered for this card, you must be a member of the Pentagon Federal Credit Union. You’re automatically considered if you are or were in the military or a family member of one. Also welcome are employees of military bases or government agencies, especially the Department of Homeland Security.
If none of the above applies to you, you can still apply for a membership by making a one time donation to one of their partner organizations. Or as a last option, you could also join by volunteering with a partner organization such as the Red Cross. With this one, it’s free and you’ll be participating in a good cause for the community.
