I just got the Barclay’s CashForward after using this site’s best deals list. The current deal that I saw was $200 for spending a net (minus returns) $1000 in 90 days. I opted for the $15 expedited card delivery, and it was here by 9:30am the next day. This deal is one of the better ratios of spending to reward from what I could see for a customer (business deals are another category).
I had some trouble with the online form. Some of the fields didn’t show up at all but I didnt’ realize they were missing. Then I submitted and the page wasn’t accepted and then reloaded itself and the fields appeared. I’m on an older computer, and saw this happens with another company’s website too. So lesson for me is if getting a rejection, before giving up, try refreshing or try signing up over the phone. It’s very basic fields requested and quite easy. Activation went well, and I have online account access at this point.
Phone support was good. First call, and I got my questions answered. Two more calls later when I changed my mind about something complicated, they helped me. On that one first line rep was ill-informed, but when I asked for a manager, she got one within mins and turned out everything was fine. Phone folks say thank you for being a customer and they sound like they mean it… pleasant attitudes which is something that comes from the top.
I do have excellent credit, so I don’t know how it goes if you’re repairing your credit. I wonder if I still will have excellent after I get a few of these card deals, lol.
