Unlike most cards out there, this is a unique credit card that offers benefits for those travel by train more often than by air. The more money put into this card for spending, the more Amtrak points you’ll earn — all of which can be used towards your future Amtrak travel purposes. Additionally, you’ll also get a 5% Amtrak Guest Rewards point rebate when you book your Amtrak redemption travel. It might not sound like much, but this can add up and increase the value of your points.

While although this card’s annual fee is a bit towards the higher end, it comes with a great value in terms of point earnings and perks. Some perks include a companion coupon, a lounge pass, and a free ticket upgrade. These all can be enough to make up for the annual cost.

Also, the Amtrak Guest Rewards World Credit Card allows you to earn Tier Qualifying Points (TQPs) that can be used to count towards elite status. You’ll receive 1,000 TQPs for every $5,000 you spend in a year. You can earn up to 4,000 TQPs with the Amtrak card per year. Unlocking different tiers of this elite membership will grant you access to additional benefits and perks.
