Author’s Verdict
To reinstate, there is a targeted offer for the CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select World Mastercard. And while this offer is 5,000 more than the current public offer, be mindful that it also requires $1,000 more in spending which isn’t a bad trade-off.
Also, unlike the public offer, the 24-month language does not apply here. This means that American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles are still available to you if you have had any Citi / AAdvantage card opened or closed in the past 24 months.
If you want to give it a try, we suggest that you sent Citi a secure message asking to match the target offer if you have recently gotten the public offer of 60,000 bonus miles. If that doesn’t work, 60,000 bonus miles is still not a bad sign-up promotion! Let us know if you receive this targeted offer.
