Author’s Verdict
With the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite MasterCard, you will get 2x the miles when used on AA flights and services and 1x the point for all other purchases. And while the promotional offer of 60,000 AA miles might sound appealing, the earning rate for spending, as you can see, is not too generous.
However, to make up for that, you will be able to earn 10% of your redeemed AAdvantage miles back — eligible for up to 10,000 AAdvantage miles each year.
Overall, this card has one of the better sign-up bonus offers that are currently out there, and is deemed worthy if you travel a lot with AA and use miles often.
